Vrutti is a Centre for Sustainable Livelihoods, enhancing people’s well-being through knowledge, innovation and transformative actions. Our passion is to bring about solutions at a scale that eliminate inequities and marginalization, and create wealth for the marginalized. Towards this, we develop market-based models to reach scale. They emphasize on working across levels; They (a) design innovative solutions; (b) collaborate with partners to implement at a scale; (c) support development partners to improve their strategies and results; (d) generate evidence and share knowledge for adoption; and (e) make meaningful engagement for shaping polices for sustaining change.

Over the last 19 years, Pramel has supported various development and research partners on agriculture based rural livelihoods, institutional development, sustainable agriculture and market linkages, Value chain development, participatory monitoring and evaluation in India and also in different countries of South Asia. He has more than a decade of experience working directly at the grassroots with community groups and poorest households/farmers for enterprise development and livelihoods promotion. His experiences are a. Designing, developing and implementing social entrepreneurship models that work across the agriculture commodity (Soya-bean, cotton, pulses, wheat, paddy etc.) value chains to increase profitability of small and marginal farmers through Agriculture Enterprise Facilitation Centre (AEFC). This idea was established under the NABARD rural innovation fund in Madhya Pradesh and was winner of prestigious WORLD BANK marketplace development Award 2013
