Praveen Chakravarty is the visionary behind BSE Sammaan, the world's first CSR Exchange. He is a Director & Strategic Advisor to BSE and also a Visiting Fellow in Political Economy at IDFC Institute, a think tank. Chakravarty is a former Managing Director of BNP Paribas India and his two decade professional career spans across technology and financial services in CxO roles across Japan, U.S. and India. Chakravarty was also part of the founding team of Aadhaar and was involved in the Direct Benefits Transfer initiative. Chakravarty is the Founding Trustee of IndiaSpend, India’s first non-profit data journalism initiative. He is a prolific writer with many published opinion pieces in all leading main lines. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and an undergraduate degree from BITS Pilani.
