MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child
MAMTA-Health Institute for Mother and Child is a non-profit organization registered in 1990 under the Society Registration Act-1860 of Government of India. The organization vision is to empower underserved and marginalized individuals and community for achieving optimal and sustainable health and development. The work is guided by its mission of being committed to working together in building a world that is just, equitable and inclusive. The organization continuously endeavors to apply best approaches and practices towards integrating health and development issues in the context of poverty, gender and rights under its four thematic areas.
Participant Profile: Murari Chandra (Assistant Director)
Murari holds a M- Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and MBA in Human Resource Management. He has more than 16 years of experience in the development sector. He is a certified trainer on gender and sexuality by RFSU- Sweden and has completed evidence based project monitoring and evaluation on the issue of global health conducted by Oregon State University (OSU) USA. He has also been trained by International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD-Sweden) on the issue of gender and local democracy. While working with MAMTA he has contributed towards strengthening Adolescent Reproductive Health program with public health system, piloting and replicating sexuality education and building evidence on application of Gender Transformative approach for effective implementation of social interventions.
