Dr Sharmila Neogi is the Youth Advisor at the USAID India office. In her current role, she supports integration of youth and gender across USAID supported health projects in India.
Dr. Neogi is a post graduate medical doctor and a development sector professional. As a practicing obstetrician, she worked for over eight years in Delhi both in the public as well as the private sector. In order to follow her passion of working with vulnerable and marginalized populations, she shifted towards on the development sector. She has a career spanning over 20 years in the development sector and her previous professional assignments include organizations such as PSS, FPAI, Population Foundation of India, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Since 2012 she has been working for USAID/India
