CFAR committed to advance the rights of marginalized population like girl child, urban poor, gender minorities, communities at risk of HIV & survivors of violence by networking, facilitate inclusion into social development programs, capacity building, public education & advocacy. Ensures engagement across stakeholders-government, corporate, experts, civil society & COs- is founded on evidence, timely exchange & dialogue. Primarily aim to facilitate these populations using right based approach to challenge unequal power relationships in order to address exclusion stemming from more entrenched structural, systemic barriers & create spaces for policy & program reforms to give less privileged what is due to them.
Participant Profile: Prabhananda Hedge (Project Manager)
Prabhananda completed his Masters in Social work from Mangalore university on Community Development and has over six years of experience in participatory development issues particularly in the areas of HIV/AIDS and women issues. worked with different departments and institutions for social inclusion of these communities through community centered processes and convergent delivery of schemes and programmes under Single window mechanism. Has previously worked with Action Aid India, and has trained multiple personnel on issues related to HIV/AIDs and women issues.
