Impact India Foundation (IIF)
Impact India Foundation is an International Initiative Against Avoidable Disablement established through a United Nations’ General Assembly Resolution, was launched by the Government of India on 2nd October 1983. Its aim is to act in partnership with the Government as a catalyst bringing together the corporate sector, Non Profit Organizations, professionals and the community in mass health projects of National priority, using existing delivery systems and available infrastructure. Their vision is Action today to Prevent Disability Tomorrow.
Participant Profile: Dr. Rajnish Gourh (Chief Operating Officer)
Dr. Gourh is a trained public health professional with more than 9 years of experience and is committed towards positive and substantial changes in Public Health. Dr. Gourh has headed Impact India’s Lifeline Express (the world’s First and India’s only Hospital Train) for more than 5 years, which delivers free of cost Quality Health Services in rural and remote areas of India. The vast experience of working with the Lifeline Express project exposed him to the Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA)(Government health activist at village level) to policy makers, in more than 15 states and international Public Health platforms to deal with diversified situations and problems while co-coordinating with Government, Railway Administration and corporate officials. Dr. Gourh has also worked on NABH accreditation of Government hospitals and with SEARCH, Gadhchiroli.
